52 Project – Week 28 – “Through the Window”

It’s so wet here in Northern Virginia that we’re growing mushrooms and algae by the pound! and the humidity was simply amazing today, even though the temps were only hovering in the low 80’s (F)- it felt like a wet, hot, sticky mess outside. SO much so that when I went out to catch my shot this afternoon – my lens fogged up immediately, thus creating a rather interesting hazy effect on my images. I had two options: 1) wait it out until my lens cleared, or 2) get some rather interesting haze-affected images and retreat back into the gorgeousness of air conditioning. I picked Door #2!

Sydney loves her two “dog windows” by the front door – even though they’re narrow – she’s still able to peer out into the front yard and street to see who’s walking by. And when I go outside without her, she puts up a fit, barking and jumping at the window until I come back inside, or until I let her come out with me. Today, the rains were deluging us yet again, and it was overcast and dreary. Not to be deterred, I took my handy dandy Ice Light outside, and with the assistance of my VAL (voice-activated lightstand a/k/a Tom ) – caught a shot through the limbs of the pine tree of Miss Sydney peering patiently through the window with the blur from the pine trees creating an interesting green blob. She’s looking a bit bedraggled this week as she’s been out in the rain, which always messes with her ‘do. Unbeknownst to her, tomorrow morning she’ll be reinstituted as a properly-groomed poodle at the doggy beauty parlor.

Week-28--Window---Standard-Poodle-Fairfax-Pet-PHotographyNext up in the webring – let’s take a trip north to State College, Pennsylvania, to see my good friend… Trina Bauer Photography and see what Izzy and her sidekick Kena are up to! She’s been catching some gorgeous images of her two pups lately in our weekly 52 Project. Keep clicking through the webring ’til you land back here!  Until next time….
