52 Project – Week 13 – “Back Lighting”

This week’s theme, Back Lighting! Using the sun or other bright light source to highlight or silhouette your subject. I love the look of silhouette shots at sunset. This week I’m remembering the warmer days of summer since it’s still winter here in Northern Virginia. Recalling those gorgeous late evening skies, here’s my shot for this week’s post. We’ve had a late winter this year in Northern Virginia, and everyone is anxious for spring to finally start. Predictions of snow for this weekend in late March! We’re flying back home after spending the past several days in sunny Southern California. Sydney has been having a blast at Affectionate Pet Care with her doggy buds while we’ve been gone. Anxious to see that diva poodle-girl again tomorrow morning.

This image was captured at Accotink Lake, with Tom instructing Sydney to “Watch Me” – a useful command to know to keep her attention focused. Of course, there were treats involved!
